Erin Williams (12) , a young dressage rider from Derbyshire, who is enjoying success with her two ponies Dublin and Danny Boy B. Erin has been training throughout the winter with the Great Britain Dressage Pony Squad on Dutch pony Danny Boy B. At 12 years old, Erin is the youngest member of the squad with the oldest being 16 years.

Erin and Danny Boy B won the first Premier League show of 2010 at Myerscough College beating the top 28 pony riders in the UK. Erin and Danny Boy were recently placed 5th on both days at their first international competition at the Addington Manor CDI riding against 30 of the best pony riders from around Europe. They have now been selected to represent GB at the French International CDI in Saumur, France in May.

"My aim this season is to ride well, enjoy my ponies and impress the Selectors!" said Erin. "My ambition is to be selected as one of the 4 top riders to represent Great Britain at the European Pony Championships in July this year". "I have worked so hard over the winter. My mirrors have especially helped me improve the positioning of my lateral work. Being able to watch myself do walk pirouettes in the mirrors has been fantastic."

Erin trains with Derbyshire based international rider Sonia Webster. "Mirrors are vital in our training" said Sonia. "As Erin is so young, it is really helpful for her to visualise her pony and herself and can quickly see when things look right or not! " Erin also trains with Great Britain Team Trainer, former Olympian Peter Storr, who has been helping with her test riding skills.
